A Mother Daughter Yoga Retreat in Greece, June 2027: A Day at Kea Retreat, Hour by Hour

Wondering what you would actually do all day on a mother daughter retreat in Greece? Here is one full day at Kea Retreat on Psathi Bay, hour by hour, from our Mother Daughter Retreat in Greece, June 27 to July 2, 2027.

The day starts with the sea and ends with the sea. Nothing in between is rushed.

Times move a little with the island, the heat, and the group. The shape of the day does not.

1. The morning

  • 7:00 Wake up on Psathi Bay. Your suite is a restored stone farmhouse with two twin beds, a private bathroom, an outdoor shower, and a balcony facing the sea. Coffee and tea are in the room. Most mothers are up first. Most daughters are not.

  • 8:00 Yoga in the shala. We practice in the beachfront shala among the olive trees. My mother Athena leads most mornings. It is gentle. Beginners are fine. Nobody is watching you.

  • 9:00 Breakfast. Farm to table, cooked by Michelin trained chefs. Breakfast is long. There is nowhere to be.

2. The middle of the day

The whole estate is ours for the week. The private cove, the beach, and the pool.

  • 10:30 The water. Kayaks and snorkel gear live at the beach. Some pairs swim. Some paddle the bay. Some stay on a towel and talk.

  • 13:00 Lunch. Back at the table. The all day counter stays stocked with tea, fruit, water, and cookies, so nobody waits for a meal to eat.

  • 14:30 Rest. This is the part I protect. Nap. Read on the balcony. Walk the property. Mothers and daughters often separate for an hour here and come back with something to say.

3. The afternoon and evening

Each day has one activity. Everything is optional. Nothing is rushed.

  • 16:30 The afternoon activity. Over the week: a private boat day to hidden coves and ancient ruins, a Greek cooking class at a local family’s farm, a coastal hike through an ancient town that ends at a quiet bay for a swim, and a one hour massage for each of you.

  • 18:30 Meditation. A short sit as the light changes. Athena guides it. Then showers, the outdoor one if you like, and the slow walk to dinner.

  • 20:00 Dinner. Seven mother daughter pairs at one table, my mother and me included. This is where the week happens. Conversations between mothers. Conversations between daughters. The ones you did not plan to have.

  • 22:00 The bay at night. Some walk back to the suite. Some sit by the water. The island is quiet. You sleep well here.

Everything above is included: the estate, your suite, the meals, daily yoga and meditation, the boat day, the cooking class, the hike, the massage, and all transfers on Kea. Read the full details on the Greece page.
